Our business concept is based upon the circular economy

Sustainability and resource-efficiency comprise the core of GIAB’s business, and this way of thinking permeates everything we do. It forms a natural part of our day-to-day work. We integrate sustainability issues into our business to ensure that our decisions concerning such issues are made with commercial considerations in mind. Our success is not only measured in financial terms but also in environmental terms, in the form of the reduction of carbon dioxide emissions.

Our services not only contribute to our own sustainability work, they also contribute to that of our customers. We offer our customers tangible work with sustainability issues, which has been referred to as the best in Sweden! Each month, we send a sustainability report to our customers presenting statistics and data about reused products and the environmental savings derived from the reduction in waste and carbon-dioxide emissions. Each mobile telephone that is reused reduces the emission of carbon dioxide by approx. 52 kg and the amount of waste by 86 kg! For every computer that is reused, there is a corresponding reduction of 69 kg of carbon dioxide emitted and 1,200 kg of waste!

GIAB’s business concept is to convert that which is currently regarded as waste into an economically valuable resource. By extended the service life of products, GIAB is able to counteract today’s throwaway culture.

Of all goods submitted to GIAB, approx. 92 % are reused!
